Stratego, after working on formulating a memorandum of understanding to promote the Development Goals of the Millennium, served as witness of honor at the signing of a public-private partnership between the United Nations Development Program (PNUD), the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MICI), the Ministry of Social Development (MIDES), the Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture of Panama (CCIAP) and SUMARSE.
Through this alliance, public and private efforts unite together, as a platform to guide the actions of the Panamanian private sector in relation to the challenges of development.
This major honor was given to Stratego in the form of its president, Mercedes Eleta Brenes, for her role as promoter and facilitator.
This partnership agreement formalizes a strategic alliance that will promote the achievement of the Development Goals of the Millenium from Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in Panama, with the goal of different sectors joining forces to achieve the goals agreed to by the international community in the the Report of the Millenium, which look forward to 2015.
With the signing of the memorandum, a committee is being established, made up of representatives from MICI, MIDES, SUMARSE, CCIAP and PNUD, that will hold the role of consulting, recommending, and validating the different CSR initiatives.
